As I don’t own Whirl, I obviously can’t really compare the two but as NYX ‘Mauve’ is such a close match to Velvet Teddy, I can’t imagine Whirl possibly being any better. It arrived in just day or two and I was bloody delighted to see that it’s almost exactly the same shade as Velvet Teddy. I’m not sure where people usually pick up NYX products, but I found the lipliner being sold by this eBay seller. NYX lipliner in ‘Mauve’ is a fraction of the price of MAC’s ‘Whirl’ at only £5. And of course my fellow beauty bloggers didn’t disappoint! So like any thrifty blogger, I went on the hunt online for a dupe. MAC’s lipliner in ‘Whirl’ is widely credited as being the perfect match for Velvet Teddy, but after just forking out £15.50 on the lipstick I really couldn’t be bothered paying another £12 for the liner. Of course, I knew that for maximum Jenner impact, I needed a lipliner. I still wanted Velvet Teddy and was SO pleased to finally get my hands on it a couple of weeks ago. YES, we all know the lips are fake now, but does that make them any less enchanting? Does it make us want Velvet Teddy any less? If your answer is yes, then well done you – you’re a stronger person than me. So, Caitlyn Jenner might totally have stolen the Jenner limelight for a bit (and rightfully so – you go gurrrrl), but I for one am still a little obsessed with good ol’ Kylie Jenner.
